The Technical Support Engineer will be responsible for providing exceptional technical assistance to our valued customers who have chosen HostWP.io as their WordPress hosting service provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to customers via email, live chat, and tickets regarding our hosting and WordPress-related inquiries.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues while delivering a positive customer support experience.
  • Collaborate with the in-house team to escalate complex problems and provide timely updates to customers.
  • Document support processes, common inquiries, and solutions to contribute to our knowledgebase and improve efficiency.
  • Perform thorough testing and debugging to identify the root cause of issues reported by customers.
  • Assist in testing new WordPress features, updates, and patches before release.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for support process improvements and provide suggestions to enhance the overall user experience.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in technical support, preferably in a WordPress-focused environment.
  • Excellent knowledge of WordPress and hosting, including themes, plugins, troubleshooting and core functionality.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic PHP to address customization-related queries.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with users of varying technical backgrounds.
  • Patience and empathy when dealing with customer issues, ensuring a positive support experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, engaging with developers and other support team members to resolve complex issues.
